New Years Resolutions – Week 17 Update

week 17 updateIt is May and a new month, so no harping on that sort-a, kind-a bad month of April. It will be another stressful month ahead, but I will be trying to have a brighter outlook, and the last few days of horoscopes have been pretty dang good, and almost spot on. Uplifting me in spirits even if it is a little hokey. The month will be busy for me, both with probably finishing up with work and job applying, so look out May! Here is the New Years Resolutions – Week 17 Update.

DecideSo my eating was not so great, but I have been continuing to make some pretty great and healthful foods. Even if my portions get out of whack, what I am putting into my body is still awesome. My workouts have mostly consisted of randomly doing my Pilates dvd, but it is really one of my favorites and it really makes me sweat so I know it is working. But also knowing that I am not burning the calories during a cardio workout like I would at a gym is starting to mess with my head a little. Which leads to my overeating, which leads to… you get the idea. It is a chicken-egg thing going on in my head about what leads me to overeat and how to combat that sickness. Because that is what it is!

May 14 Workout ScheduleOn to the awesome May workout that I have planned. So this month, no gym and no money for one (all about saving this month!). This month is all about workout DVDs, and I am actually going to write the name of each workout DVD I have and which workout I will be doing for each. Here are my DVDs: Ellen Barrett’s Super Slim Down (favorite Pilates!); Chalene Johnson’s Turbo Jam – Turbo Sculpt; Jillian Michaels’ Banish Fat Boost Metabolism; Bob Harper’s Pure Burn; Jillian Michaels’ Yoga Meltdown; Ellen Barrett’s Burn & Firm Pilates; Leslie Sansone’s Walk Away the Pounds; Leslie Sansone’s 3 Mile Weight Loss Walk. A few that are not on my calendar but may make my rotation are the Turbo Jam – Turbo Abs which is a 20 minute ab workout with 10 minutes standing and 10 on the floor, this one is easy and I may add this at night when I get home from work; Turbo Jam – Cardio Party which is a cardio dance / kickboxing workout, which I would be doing the low-impact one (less jumping and bouncing around) in my small space. I listed them out so that you know which ones I am actually doing, and to hold myself accountable also. Some I have had for years but never actually done the entire thing. By the end of the month I may be bored and need some new DVDs – which are your favorites?

May 14 ChallengeFor the Challenge? Lookout because you will be feeling it all month long. This is my best one yet! And with summer showing up hard and fast in San Antonio, I am wanting to wear more than just pants and jackets! It is time to up the leg and shoulders game! No more progressive movements – we are just getting right into it and get toned! This one excites me so much, everyday is a different leg / butt workout. You will do 50 of each leg / butt movement, 30 push-ups, and a 60 second plank each day. Yes, just start big and keep going. Some leg days will be easier, but there will be no breaks in this one. Just do it and get it done. 5 minutes max, and you will be done. Just do it! It will hurt so good!

So now for the real update:
Weight & Inches
Total from Last Week: -.2lbs,  -0in
Total from the 1st: -6.2lbs, -8.5in
