So we are finally into October and that means, for me at least, an unbelievable amount of overeating on candy and other goodies. It also means it’s time for me to get serious again about working out, which is why I made myself another daily workout calendar which I will print off and take to the gym with me. No slacking this month. It’s time to beat off the gain and have some losses for the next few months! Here is my New Years Resolutions – Week 39 Update.
So my eating has been going fine, and I feel like I have been eating healthy, I count all my calories like normal on the MyFitnessPal app, but I continue to just gain away. It’s just so dang frustrating, but I am watching my intake, rethinking and trying new breakfasts and dinners – dinners and nights are my downfalls. How do you stay on track when you are a morning person, so you get all things done in the early a.m., but have nothing but down-time in the evenings? It’s just the way I am wired. I get up (even on the weekends) and get everything done so I don’t have to worry about it later. My workouts? I am on a very early morning routine right now of getting up at 4:30am and working out for 45ish minutes then getting ready and commuting to work, and being there by 7. Now I get off at 3:30 and am home by 4:30 – you would think that I could get myself to the apartment complex’s gym, but nope. By the time 4:30pm comes along I am exhausted and all I want to do is laze about. So, I need to come up with things, besides reading, that keep my head and hands busy so I don’t think about eating. So, that is where I am at this week with my eating and workout plans – just keep on keepin’ on.
As for weekend fun last week, I rented a ZipCar – very expensive! I am glad I sold my car before I came because my take home isn’t what I thought it would be, So, thank goodness no car payments or insurance – this all comes back to how dang expensive it is to rent a car for a couple hours to go shopping and buy things that you wouldn’t be able to carry back on a bus with you – a bookcase, a couple small side tables. Groceries to fill your cupboards for cheaper. A whole bunch of stores that were having amazing sales, so filled up on some winter-wear. But – I will not be renting very often cause dang – 3 1/2 hours rented and it cost me $50! Can you believe that? It’s pure craziness. I spent too much money, but it was nice to be independant and being confident in driving around the city. As for work I am doing good, and keep being put in a lead position. Awesome being trusted with that after only 4ish weeks. So that’s my update this week.
