What’s the perfect breakfast or snack? A smoothie. Now normally I don’t like to drink my calories – I much prefer eating them – but sometimes I just need an amazing smoothie. Maybe I am just missing my old workout and healthy eating partner and missing our morning smoothies, but I needed one this week. Here is my super easy and delicious vegan and gluten- & sugar-free Strawberry Banana Smoothie.
This smoothie is so pretty right? Well it’s dang simple, too! No need for too many extra words on this – or tons of ingredients! It’s the perfect smoothie for breakfast, snack or after dinner dessert. Full of nutrients and fresh fruit. If you wanna be sure to have these ingredients ready at a moments notice, just chunk your bananas into ziplock baggies and keep them in your freezer! Start by freezing your banana in chunks – a whole frozen banana won’t blend easily. Add the washed strawberries, with the tops cut off, first into the blender then add the chunked banana. Add milk and cherry vanilla syrup then blend until smooth. If your blender is like mine you may need shake and rattle the blender to get things moving, but just keep blending. The NuStevia? It’s the first time I have used it, and wow, it smells good. Way better than normal vanilla extract! This little dropper packs a wallop of sugary flavor into a small amount of goodness. Mmmm.
