I am the ultimate snacker and all things snacks are my favorite thing – in case you never picked up on that before. One of my favorite things to snack on is chips – the salty flavor of taco chips, but it’s really the crunch. Because I’ll eat any chip really – let’s be honest. I used to buy packaged plain pita chips and store-made fresh guac and spend the day eating it all – not healthy, but so dang good. But this time I decided to make my own, and flavor them my way! I hope you get to enjoy some Super-Simple Pita Chips – Two Ways!
“I received free samples of Toufayan Pita mentioned in this post. By posting this recipe I am entering a recipe contest sponsored by Toufayan Bakeries and am eligible to win prizes associated with the contest. I was not compensated for my time.”
Who in the world doesn’t love crunchy chips? The best thing about pita chips are the thick crunch you get from them. And they are so thick that you feel like your eating more than you are in just a small handful, than eating a whole bowl of tortilla chips. I was fortunate enough to receive Toufayan pitas (all amazing!) and decided I needed to make these pitas fun, since I don’t do sandwiches. Toufayan is a family-owned national bakery that specializes in over 100 delicious products across the nation – making them the largest pita company in the US! Let’s chip these pita’s up!
This super-simple recipe is made even easier by using the most minimal ingredients ever! Just one package of pitas – there are six in the package. so each flavor got three pitas. Cut each pita in half, then cut into 5-6 triangles. You can get even more out of these pitas by splitting them in half so they aren’t doubled up. Then just spray the pitas with coconut spray and sprinkle each spice over each baking sheet. Mix with your hands then spread evenly over the tray, then spray with coconut oil spray again. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Let cool completely then crunch away!
