Stitch Fix – June Box Review

I love clothes as much as the next girl – or person – but it is really hard to find anything that fits me right or that I like on me. I am a very picky person so that could be one big cause, but it’s also that I’m six foot tall with a long torso and not all that fond of my middle section. I’ve lost a crap-ton of weight from the gastric bypass and let me say- it’s wonderful that I lost the weight but they don’t tell you about the after effects. So hiding in clothes is necessary. Not that I’m all about showing my body off, though I do like showing curves, just not skin. So shopping in general is a pain. Short girls get cute clothes and shoes. Tall girls get pants that don’t sit right or shoes that don’t come in larger sizes. What’s a person to do? Try out the infamous (to me at least) Stitch Fix!

I’ve been intrigued by the personal styling service of Stitch Fix for years, ever since my SIL was doing it. She loved it, especially just getting something specially picked just for you. Clothes that an actual stylist tailored to your lifestyle, budget, taste, and your measurements in mind. Who hasn’t wanted a personal stylist? Who could afford one? Stitch Fix - June BoxNot this girl, which is why I hadn’t done Stitch Fix before – I didn’t think I could afford it. But even if you absolutely hate all the items they sent you? You just have to pay $20 and the return shipping is free. So basically it’s like me shopping online and paying for shipping and not liking anything and sending it back and having to pay for return shipping – which happens … too often – stupid shipping. The whole process for SF is actually easier than I thought it would be – just give them your measurements and your style preferences then tell them when you want your first box. Super easy. Then it’s like Christmas when the box comes, because you don’t know what you’re getting – will you like it, will it fit, is it cool? I left only one comment for this order, my one requirement was no animal products – and did they listen?

Yes, and OMG this bag!! It is huge, which is the only type of purse that I like. Big so I can fit all my life in it! Just look at it! it’s a gorgeous light gray color, which is perfect for me and all my dark clothes.

Stitch Fix - June BoxStitch Fix - June BoxThis jacket! It makes me feel so good about my backside! The ruffles people – they are on the back and flow right over my booty. And I have been working hard on my booty to get it lifted and good looking so a jacket that accentuates the good is always awesome!

Stitch Fix - June Box Stitch Fix - June BoxI was leery about this top and skirt – looking at them in the box they looked a little old ladyish. And that might be because the skirt had a super-busy pattern, which means it intimidates me. Because I don’t really do pattern … or color … or white. But oh wow! I looked good with it on! The skirt was a stretchy fabric which was so comfy, and the white button down top would have been perfect in the winter since it had long sleeves. I think it did wonders for my shape!

So now for the real deal – what did I end up keeping? The purse (duh, insert eye roll) and the jacket … I couldn’t give up the ruffles!
