New Years Resolutions – Week 48 Update

About to Give UpYowza, we are getting close to the end of the year. How is it going for you? Tons of holiday parties in the works? Work parties and all that food. Oh man, the holidays can be more of a pain rather than the fun times we had as kids. My holiday this year we be alone, no vacation time to visit family, but that is okay in the sense that I will at least get to control my eating better than being around all that amazing food! Here is this weeks New Years Resolutions – Week 48 Update.

So how was your Thanksgiving? Mine was awesome; got to spend a ton of time with my family and extended family from Cali –  a much needed break. I did absolutely nothing while home, but I have to say I am quite proud of myself. I worked out 5 out of the 7 days home, and I didn’t eat anything sweet while there! It never crossed my mind to eat sweets – I ate a lot of salty / savory stuff, but it was like I was detoxing myself because I came home and didn’t want anything sweet. When I got back I went grocery shopping and normally I get a donut when I go, and I did get it but it was more like an afterthought, not a true wanting. And after I ate it I couldn’t even remember what it tasted like. So this whole week at work I have been trying very, very hard not to backtrack and slide into that sugary yuck. I don’t need it and it just makes me gain weight, which makes me think bad thoughts about myself.

Also, this was the first vacation where I have come back home and weighed the same as when I left! What? No vacation brain like every other time! I am just so dang proud of myself! This weeks food choices have been pretty spot on, though dinners are getting to me. I tend to snack when I get home, so I am thinking that my dinner needs to be more of a snack-type of thing instead of a true meal – because I will just want to snack on something later. Not good, not good at all. As for workouts, I have made it every day, even adding in some extra stuff after work so I can try and not gain!

December Workout Plan


Come workout with me – make this month of joy and happiness more about fitness and staying track than eating all the goodies. Enjoy them, but work them off!
